We are searching for a Director to join the team, either remotely or in one of our office locations: New York City or Miami. This is a newly created position which, over time, will progress into a Principal role with an opportunity to run a market segment; the foundation for building and scaling a team with future revenue streams.

As a Director and part of Eastward’s growing team your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Partner with our clients on complex and wide-ranging mandates, understanding their needs and partnering effectively to identify and enact creative solutions, working with management to construct an appropriate hiring plan to suit the clients’ needs.

  • Play a key role in the Origination, Delivery and Execution of Search and Human Capital assignments. This will involve: client liaison, project management of client deliverables, identifying and engaging prospective clients and candidates, coordinating and managing the client project both internally and externally.

  • Create and implement marketing strategies, using technology, innovative solutions, talent acquisition efforts by leveraging effective sourcing and prospecting techniques.

  • Lead a team in identifying, screening, interviewing and nurturing key relationships with prospective talent and market contacts, cultivating a network of potential-business relationships.

  • Leading Search assignments: scoping the engagement, leading the identification and engagement of prospective candidates, assessing the candidates against appropriate criteria and effectively manage on-going communications, interviews and offers to secure top talent.

  • Partner with senior leaders within the firm to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives, while tracking and reporting key metrics designed to measure staffing activity.

  • Commit to continual learning and development, including leading new employee training and other key, related areas across the firm to successfully execute on the overall vision of the firm.

  • Contribute to the firms’ growth through client and candidate acquisition, developing and rolling out marketing initiatives and high-quality content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree along with 5+ years of Executive Search or recruitment experience.

  • Strong theoretical understanding and some practical/demonstrated ability to recruit and/or project manage search work at various levels.

  • Entrepreneurial drive with a pragmatic, accountable attitude on getting things done.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong follow-up and client relationship building skills.

  • Quick learner as well as strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of market-building: curating a network of professional relationships with proven capability in sales and securing new work. Demonstrated experience in successfully originating, identifying, and closing recruitment and/or search assignments.

  • Deep knowledge of effective sourcing practices and use of technology along with other key processes within the recruitment lifecycle.
