A growing Private Equity backed home remodeling company that operates 2 primary business lines: a direct-to-consumer sales model for home improvement building products and a manufacturing and distribution model that provides metal roofing and aluminum gutter coil to contractors and distributors.
Our client engaged Eastward Partners to locate a Vice President of FP&A that would be responsible for overseeing the organization's FP&A function and leading enterprise-wide initiatives to drive increased growth and operational excellence. The individual would ensure timely and accurate financial plans and forecasts, conduct in-depth analysis into the business risk and opportunities, perform ad hoc analysis and modeling exercise to support business and strategic decision.
Once scope was established and timelines agreed, we agreed upon a retained search campaign. We jointly developed the responsibilities of the role and function, a go-to-market narrative and search toolkit, including job descriptions, scorecards, and livelists. Eastward Partners carefully mapped the market for individuals who fit the exact brief in the Greater New Jersey area.
Eastward presented 3 shortlists of relevant individuals, each matching core competencies and culture, with a different strength to bring to this newly formed role. Given the opportunity to define a new function for the client, Eastward Partners endeavored to show the client the benefit of each candidates’ respective skills and background.
